As a nation, we realize that we owe a debt of gratitude for each veteran's service and each personal sacrifice in entering the US Military. Thank you, Veterans!
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude for the men and women who have served and continue to serve our nation. Thank You, Lord, for their courage, their sacrifice, and their steadfast commitment to protect freedom and defend justice. You have used their strength and bravery to guard what is good, and for that, we give You glory. We know that no act of service goes unseen by You, the righteous Judge who rewards every good work. Bless every veteran and active-duty member with the peace that only You can give—a peace that surpasses all understanding and settles deep within their souls.
“Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.” — Psalm 144:1 (KJV)
Lord, we pray for deliverance and divine protection.
Many of our heroes still face unseen battles—spiritual, emotional, and physical. We ask You to be their strong tower and defender. Surround them with Your angels, and deliver them from every enemy that seeks to steal their peace or destroy their joy. May Your Word be their sword and shield, and may Your presence go before them in every challenge they face. You are Jehovah Sabaoth, the Lord of Hosts, mighty in battle, and we trust that You will fight on their behalf. Free them from every chain of fear, addiction, and despair, and remind them that victory belongs to You.
Father, we lift up every veteran who carries invisible wounds.
You know the memories that weigh heavy on their hearts, the pain that lingers in silence, and the struggles they face when the world grows quiet. We ask that You pour out healing oil over every place of trauma and sorrow. Restore what has been broken, and bring comfort where there has been loss. Provide divine solutions—resources, counselors, communities, and ministries—through which Your love and wisdom can bring wholeness. Teach us, as a nation and as Your people, how to serve those who have served us, with compassion, patience, and grace.
And finally, Lord, let Your light shine upon them.
Remind every veteran that their identity is not found in the battlefield, but in You—their Creator, Redeemer, and Friend. Let them feel Your nearness and know that they are never forgotten. May their hearts be anchored in Your promises, their faith strengthened by Your Word, and their hope renewed daily by Your Spirit. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Deliverer and Prince of Peace. In Jesus's name, Amen
