1.Praise the Lord! I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart Where those who are right with God gather together and in the meeting of the people. 2 The works of the Lord are great. All who find joy in them try to understand them. 3 His work is great and powerful. And He is right and good forever. 4 He has made His great works to be remembered. The Lord shows loving-favor and pity. 5 He gives food to those who fear Him. He will remember His agreement forever. 6 He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the land of other nations. 7 The works of His hands are faithful and right. All His Laws are true. 8 They stand strong forever and ever. They are done by what is true and right. 9 He has made a way for His people to be free. He has set up His agreement forever. His holy name is to be honored with fear. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. All who obey His Laws have good understanding. His praise lasts forever. Hello Prayer Warriors! This week we have a rare opportunity to pray over the hearings of a potential Supreme Court Justice nominee. We often pray for the high court regarding arguments and rulings as they take place. Each one of the rulings are of extreme importance to us and our way of life. During this week we have the aditional opportunity to pray regarding the potential confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court judicial bench. This is the time for us to pray for the decision making that is taking place right now . Father, we, as the American people approach your throne this week asking you to guide these hearings in a way that would honor you as the Supreme Justice over our world. We pray that the Senators and President and all others who are involved in this selection process would seek you for your wisdom and guidance. We ask for each individual person to hear your voice throughout this process. We pray for Amy Coney Barrett. We pray that she would have wisdom and that she would be able to state her case so that it is clearly understood by all so that an informed decision can be made. We ask that you would sovereignly be in control of every act and conversation that takes place. We come against any distractions, lies, or deceptions that would try to distort the hearings into any false representation of you or your people. We ask that you would supernaturally lead us as a nation in this decision because of its importance to our current and future democracy. We acknowledge that yours is the Kingdom, the Glory and the Honor forever! In Jesus Name. Amen. Day of Prayer 2020The uniqueness of this year can not be overstated. This year we are observing two National Days of Prayer, by presidential authority.
It is unprecedented and vitally important. The leader of our nation at this moment in time is publicly acknowledging our need for God as a nation. As we gather today (on-line rather than in our public city-groups) we are hidden, but our weapons are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds! We as Christians are anointed by the Holy Spirit to fight our battles in another dimension than that of the physical realm. Today as we pray, let us keep 2 Chronicles 7:14 in mind. If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Dear prayer warriors, on this day of fasting, prayer, repentance, and turning toward God, let us ask God to teach us to war in the Spirit against this virus attack. Let us open our hearts to the King of Heaven and let Him teach us and speak to us, so that as a body we can be more efficient in prayer against this evil plague. Critical Prayer Topic- State Governors Hello, Prayer Warriors! As I write this blog, the Coronavirus has claimed 200,000 deaths worldwide. Untold hundreds of thousands are in or have been in, a fight for their lives. Here in the USA, our governors are in crisis. They have the critical task of making life and death decisions for the thousands of people in their states. Each individual governor must find a way through this disaster in the best way possible while keeping multiple factors in constant view. Let us intercede for them this week in focused prayer. Pray that the governor of your state calls out to God for supernatural direction. Pray that he or she will be saved if unsaved. Let them know that you are praying for, if possible. Pray that God will lead you personally in relation to the civil compliance restrictions that your state is requiring. Pray for your brothers and sisters in overly restricted areas. Please continue to pray for President Trump, Congress, and the Medical Team that are leading in decision making as well. Pray that God's hand will be in our highly unusual election process this year. As a national prayer group, we will focus on each of these people and groups in future weeks, but keep them lifted up in intense prayer every day. Continue to rise up strongly as a prayer warrior and intercessor in these days. Determine to increase your prayer and fasting practices by several degrees! Continue to pray that revival will break out in our cities and states. If you are in one of the "hot zones", or if you are actually ill from the COVID-19 virus, please know that the prayer warriors from all 50 states are holding you up in prayer. We are praying for your protection from the virus and for your recovery if you are experiencing symptoms or have a positive diagnosis. Please let us know by email if you have specific needs in this area. We will not release your email information, but with permission, we will place your name or name substitute on our office prayer wall. Send to Americanprayerforce1@gmail.com "If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." Romans 8:11 Celebrating Easter this year is so very important! This year we are in a much different place than we have ever been in our lifetimes. Though Easter is being celebrated differently, it is an opportunity for us to pray that the resurrection power of God will rise up in us as we fight (in the Spirit) against the invisible enemy of COVID 19. I encourage you to spend some time today experiencing a new level of prayer. As you pray for our nation and for the sick and dying among us, allow the Spirit of God that dwells in you to quicken you in an unusual way while you are praying. Allow the Spirit of God to expand your prayer life today. As a church we can experience great and mighty things as we spend time pressing in to the Word of God and into an expanded prayer life! As we dwell on thoughts of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us lay aside the things that so easily beset us. Let us spend time with God in a powerful new way. If you are in one of the "hot zones", or if you are actually ill from the COVID 19 virus, please know that the prayer warriors from all 50 states are holding you up in prayer. We are praying for your protection from the virus and for your recovery if you are experiencing symptoms or have a positive diagnosis. Please let us know by email if you have specific needs in this area. We will not release your email information, but with permission, we will place your name or name substitute on our office prayer wall. Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are on the front lines of this virus. We lift up the doctors, nurses, and others in the health industry. I pray that you give them wisdom and strength. We pray for those who have the virus, that you Lord would heal them and encourage them. We pray for full recovery in Jesus name. We pray Lord for your protection for those who are not infected. We ask these things in Jesus name. Amen Shared this prayer from a post by Christian Church in Painted Post, NY Casting All Your Care Upon Him, For He Cares For You.

EISENHOWER, President of the United States of America, do hereby call upon all of our citizens to observe Thursday, November 11, 1954, as Veterans Day. On that day let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us reconsecrate ourselves to the task of promoting and enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain. (Full proclamation is available on Public Domain Sites) Veteran's Day is set aside each year to honor all United States veterans, past and present. We join in with a greatful nation to thank you for the sacrifices that you and your families have made. We are continuing our Prayer Campaign for the United States of America!!! Let's continue to cry out to God for our great country! Today we will be lifting up the state of Florida to the Lord in prayer!!! ALERT from the Weather Channel: Hurricane Dorian is now a Category 2 hurricane and is forecast to intensify into a powerful Category 4, posing a major danger to Florida and the southeastern United States over Labor Day weekend. It is important for us to pray for the safety of emergency responders and for the residents that may find themselves in danger during the next few days. Florida is home to over 21 million people. Let's lift these people up to the Lord in prayer today. He loves and cares for each and every one of them! Let's also lift up some of their cities by name to the Lord today! Some of their largest cities include: Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and St. Petersburg. There are many, many other large cities that are too numerous to list . Tallahassee is the capital of Florida. Let's also remember all of the smaller cities, towns and villages. Please pray that churches will flourish and that the Gospel will find it's way into every household. Let's also lift up the leaders of Florida to the Lord today! You can also click on the links below to see the names of the Florida Representatives and Senators. We can pray for them by name too! Thank you for praying with us today! God bless you! God Bless Florida! And God bless America! Information on Florida Leadership https://www.house.gov/representatives#state-Florida https://www.flsenate.gov › Senators Today I am filled with an overwhelming awareness of God's love for us. I am also very aware of His desire for us to share the good news of His love to those around us who are suffering because of sin and despair. If only each person could come face to face with the realization of that love!
In North America it seems that we are at a crossroads. While many of our religious freedoms are being challenged, we still enjoy a measure of liberty. Among those liberties is the freedom to proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ to a world that is darkening all around us. We celebrate those liberties today on the 4th of July. In history, brave men made the ultimate sacrifice to gain those liberties for us. Today in the United States we celebrate with fireworks and great fanfare. So much was accomplished by the independence that we gained. A government was formed that allows us to worship freely and serve God with many freedoms. In my own town, a battle was fought in the Revolutionary War. Every year there are reenactments of the battle that was fought here. Today I want to publicly salute these men who sacrificed to the highest degree to establish a country where we could worship God freely. We still have opportunities to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His love for us. In our culture, one of the greatest battles that we fight as American Prayer Force Members is to contend for these freedoms. It is so important! It is the love of God that sets us and others free! It is through prayer that God turns a nation to repentance and restoration. We do not know the future of our nation, but we now that we can fight in the Spirit. We must battle for our liberty to proclaim the love of Jesus to a lost world. Happy 4th of July, Day of Independence! Today I salute these men who sacrificed their lives to establish a country where we can continue to speak of the good news of His great love. On this Memorial Day, we pray for those who courageously laid down their lives for the cause of freedom. May the examples of their sacrifice inspire in us the selfless love of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Bless the families of our fallen troops, and fill their homes and their lives with Your strength and peace.
Louisiana is in a State of Emergency.
Today when I was writing this post, I felt a stirring of the Holy Spirit as I began to gather information about Loisiana for our state-by-state prayer post. I often spend time praying as I am writing these posts for the individual states. In response to the alert in the Spirit, I began to search for news about Louisiana to see if there was something specific that I should be praying about. Immediately, I read that Louisiana is in a State of Emergency because of severe storms and flooding. I decided to post this now, so that we all can be praying today for this situation and the families and businesses that are being hit hard wth this disaster. I will post the state information later, but I want to ask all of us, as a national prayer team, to focus on this situation as we are going through our prayer time. Note: East Texas is also suffering in this storm emergency. God bless each one of you that take these blogs to heart and pray didligently for these individul states. When I Survey the Wondrous Cross
By Isaac Watts When I survey the wondrous cross, On which the Prince of glory died, My richest gain I count but loss, And pour contempt on all my pride. Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast, Save in the death of Christ my God! All the vain things that charm me most, I sacrifice them to His blood. See from His head, His hands, His feet, Sorrow and love flow mingled down! Did e’er such love and sorrow meet, Or thorns compose so rich a crown? Were the whole realm of nature mine, That were a present far too small; Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all. It's not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit saith the Lord. Zechariah 4:6b In this day, and in these circumstances, and in this present darkness, the church of Jesus Christ must still advance. God has chosen to use us as instruments of rightousness in an increasingly darkening landscape. He has chosen to work through us both as individuals and as members of the body of Christ, to exert power over darkness by His Spirit who lives within us. God has called us to allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us to bring an anointed word of deliverence to the people who are bound by the forces of evil all around us. When we look at the tide of evil that exists today we see that our country is seething with ugliness. Greed, uncontained lust, and the love of violence are exeedingly strong and seemingly invincible in our society. We can begin to despair that the church could ever move forward under such conditions. In 1 John 4:4, we read: “ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." Our very important work is to humble ouselves in prayer and seeking His face and continuing full-force in turning from our own wicked ways. We must obey the voice of the Holy Spirit within us and do those things that He says. God WILL reveal His plans to us individually and through the true functioning body of Christ. Not only will God lead us as individuals, but God has given us those in church leadership the the ability to lead by the Spirit. When God speaks to us as the church to advance, we must obey! We must have faith that God will not leave us to come up with our own plans to move forward. The Holy Spirit will reveal the exact plan that will lead to many spiritual victories even in the darkest circumstanses. In the Bible we see in both the Old and in the New Testaments that God consistantly revealed exact plans for battle after battle and for situation after situation. We must expectantly wait for instructions by the Holy Spirit. God has plans for us to gain victory within our own personal lives and within our society to bring the furtherment of the Kingdom of God among us. It's not by might or by power but by His Spirit, The Lord has spoken it. Zechariah 4:6b Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60:1-2

Martin Luther King Jr. was a Baptist minister and a nationally recognized social activist who led the civil rights movement in the United States from the mid-1950s until his assassination in 1968. He moved the whole nation with his on-point message of non-violence and led civic protests against segregation. In his passionate sermons and speeches, he influenced the heart of the people. Without violence, he became an influencer in his time. On this day of rememberence we honor his life, his passion, and the effect that his "I Have a Dream" speech still holds on us as Americans even to this day.

Get ready to hear the trumpet signal to advance! Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before! Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle, see his banner go! At the sign of triumph, Satan's host doth flee; On, then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise; Brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise! Like a mighty army moves the church of God; Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod; We are not divided; all one body we, One in hope and purpose, one in charity. Onward, then, ye people, join our happy throng, Blend with ours your voicesin the triumph song; Glory, laud, and honor, unto Christ the King; This thro' countless ages men and angels sing. Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before! Hymn Notes: "Onward, Christian Soldiers" is a 19th-century English hymn. The Thompson Chain Reference Bible (KJV)
The Thompson Chain's advantage is that the commentary is the Bible itself. When you read a scripture, the Thompson Chain gives links to other important scriptures regarding the same subject. Then that next scripture follows the "chain". It is easy to follow any topic and it is an important study reference tool. In addition, it is a classic version of the King James Bible and has been cherished by generations of believers. Here, we are providing the link to a King James Version, Leather-Bound, Large Print Edition. There are many other styles, colors and size versions of the Thompson Chain Bible and other choices for you to view. Dear Heavenly Father, We come to you today in prayer, on this national day of Mourning. We give praise to you who conducts the entire universe. In this prayer, we pray for peace. We thank you for the years that President Bush was our President and for his service to our country. Father God, We humble ourselves before you and pray that you will continue to protect and bless our country through difficult times and through times of joy. The National Day of Mourning Posts will be used for all Presidents, Heads of State, and other National Leaders, reguardless of party affiliation upon their deaths and upon other significant distressful and sorrowful events. We honor all National leaders as appointed by God. This is based on Romans 13:1 "Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God." The Official American Thanksgiving Proclamation By the President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added which are of so extraordinary a nature that they can not fail to penetrate and soften even the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever-watchful providence of Almighty God.
In the midst of a civil war of unequaled magnitude and severity, which has sometimes seemed to foreign states to invite and to provoke their aggression, peace has been preserved with all nations, order has been maintained, the laws have been respected and obeyed, and harmony has prevailed everywhere, except in the theater of military conflict, while that theater has been greatly contracted by the advancing armies and navies of the Union. Needful diversions of wealth and of strength from the fields of peaceful industry to the national defense have not arrested the plow, the shuttle, or the ship; the ax has enlarged the borders of our settlements, and the mines, as well of iron and coal as of the precious metals, have yielded even more abundantly than heretofore. Population has steadily increased notwithstanding the waste that has been made in the camp, the siege, and the battlefield, and the country, rejoicing in the consciousness of augmented strength and vigor, is permitted to expect continuance of years with large increase of freedom. No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently, and gratefully acknowledged, as with one heart and one voice, by the whole American people. I do therefore invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans. mourners, or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it, as soon as may be consistent with the divine purposes, to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity, and union. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the United States to be affixed. Done at the city of Washington, this 3d day of October, A. D. 1863, and of the Independence of the United States the eighty-eighth. ABRAHAM LINCOLN. 1Timothy 2: 1-3 (KJV)
1. I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2. For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Written by a Facebook Friend
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHRISTIANITY AND OTHER RELIGIONS. This is something I have been thinking about a bit this week. There is a difference! As I was reading some conversations online and thinking about our homeschooling curriculum (we are learning about other countries, cultures, and religions), I realized that I didn’t know how to articulate the difference. But, then it came to me. The difference is relationship. We get to have a relationship with a loving Heavenly Father. We are different because we don’t follow all these rules to be good people and hope we can make it to heaven some day. We do everything because we love our Heavenly Father and don’t want to disappoint Him. Just as we wouldn’t want to disappoint anyone we love... it puts a strain on the relationship. It’s about relationship, not religion. So, if you are thinking about thinking about trying Christianity and wondering if it works... it does! It IS different from trying to be a good person or following the teachings of “good men.” It is about relationship with the most wonderful Father! He loves you and is just waiting for you to say yes to Him, yes to following Him. It isn’t a dry dusty thing for old people. He talks to you and comforts you when you are hurt and lonely. He shows you things He wants to change in your life. He wants a real relationship with you. It is worth it! ❤️ |
